Can you be gay in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has already proven to be a big hit, and not just among gamers, but the gay community as well. Already we’re hunting for the best outfits for our best twink Link, and showing off our many different creations on social media.

Can you be gay in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

While Link has long been considered a gay icon among LGBTQ+ gamers, that does not come to fruition in Tears of the Kingdom. Link’s relationships are all strictly heterosexual in nature (but don’t give up hope Sidon/Link shippers).

However, there is the return of the Great Fairies. The Great Fairies have often been ‘claimed’ by some folks to be representative of the drag community, however that is all rather based on perspective than actual representation.

We will update this guide as more information about queerness in Tears of the Kingdom becomes apparent.
