London Video Game Orchestra reveals Pride in Gaming Concert

Pride Month is a month of celebration, history, and coming together as a community here in the UK. For The London Video Game Orchestra, one of the few orchestras in the UK dedicated to playing only music from video games, Pride is also the perfect time to feature music from LGBTQ+ games.

Founded in 2019, The London Video Game Orchestra’s (LVGO) mission has always been to increase the impact and value of video game music. Video game music hasn’t always been given the respect it deserves, with some folks not believing it’s music at all, just because it happens to be from a video game. LVGO want to challenge that perspective.

Not only does the Orchestra want to raise awareness of video game music as a legitimate art form, but they also want it accessible to the general public too.

With June just around the corner, LVGO want to feature music from LGBTQ+ games, stories and characters, such as Lena Raine’s Pigstep from Minecraft. Other games include Stardew Valley, The Last of Us Part 2, Dragon Age, League of Legends, and much more.
