TTRPG for Trans Rights in Florida Bundle releases March 13

Last October, transgender tabletop developer Rue announced a tabletop RPG bundle jam to help fight anti-transgender legislation being brought forth in Florida. Now, Rue has announced that after some administrative hold-ups, the TTRPG Bundle for Trans Rights in Florida will be available to purchase on itch.io on March 13.

Proceeds from the bundle will benefit two trans-focused charities based out of Florida. Zebra Coalition, is an organization that provides services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and all youth from ages 13-24, with a particular focus on resources to provide stability for those facing bullying, homelessness, familial isolation, and more. Transinclusive Group Inc. is a trans-led Florida non-profit that works with local LGBTQ+ folks to offer support and defend against stigma, particularly for people of color.

The TTRPG Bundle for Trans Rights in Florida was organized by Rue, who previously organized the TTRPGs for Trans Rights in Texas Bundle. That bundle came just short of its $420,000 goal, raising $406,491.87 to split between Transgender Education Network of Texas and Organización Latina de Trans en Texas. This new bundle had 526 submissions, some of which include Thirsty Sword Lesbians by April Kit Walsh and Wanderhome by Possum Creek Games.

This bundle was inspired by the Florida State Medical Board voting through bans on gender-affirming care for transgender kids in November of 2022. This ban forbade doctors to prescribe gender-affirming care or to perform surgeries on new trans patients until they turn 18. Patients already receiving treatment were allowed to continue. In February, the Board of Osteopathic Medicine removed its research exception, which means that even prescribing these treatments in the context of a clinical trial is prohibited according to these rules.
