Coral Island announces Spring update and soundtrack

On Tuesday, publisher Humble Games and developer Stairway Games announced that colorful, tropical farming simulator Coral Island is getting a fresh new update for Spring, and the game’s soundtrack — which features 150 tracks — is live now. If you would like to purchase the Coral Island soundtrack, it is available via Steam for $9.99 and includes a high-fidelity soundtrack remastered for stand-alone listening. The Spring update for Coral Island will launch sometime in March 2023, but the specific date hasn’t been announced yet.

In this game, players leave behind big city life in the metropolis of Pokyo to start a new chapter on the titular island. You get to choose who you want to be as you grow crops, raise animals, and build a bond with nature. Your work will also help to revitalize the nearby small town and the local coral reefs. More than 70 other characters call Coral Island their home, and players can interact and build relationships with them.

The game is currently in early access, which includes your first year on Coral Island with four playable seasons. The Spring update will add more features to what’s already there. First is part of the game’s Giants storyline. Once you’ve gotten the in-game Goddess Blessing, head to the mines to get this quest started. Next up are additions to the farm itself, which include adding ducks and sheep to your farm’s coop options, and access to the Level 3 house. Other quality of life enhancements for Coral Island coming with the Spring update include enhancements for your tools, large logs that spawn daily and drop the hardwood crafting item, custom key bindings, and an increased mastery level cap for skills and a simplified skill selection system. The Spring update is also bringing dedicated accessibility improvements, like a new dyslexic font option and a colorblind mode.
