All of the LGBTQ+ games nominated at the 2023 DICE Awards
During the 26th annual DICE Awards on Thursday night, Roll7’s OlliOlli World took home the award for 2023 Best Sports Game of the Year. It was just one of the multiple games with LGBTQ+ themes and characters that was nominated.
“We won Sports Game of the Year at the #DICEAwards,” Roll7 tweeted after the event. “Our comparatively small team poured every last bit of themselves into this game. This award is for everyone at Roll7 that worked in any way on OlliOlli World! ❤️🛹”
OlliOlli World allows players to be non-gendered through their pronoun usage and completely customizable clothing and skateboard options. Other titles featuring LGBTQ+ characters and/or themes that were nominated include 2022’s smash hit Elden Ring, I Was a Teenage Exocolonist, Citizen Sleeper, and more.
