Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life releasing in June
On Wednesday, developer Marvelous Inc. and publisher XSEED Games announced that Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life will release for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S/X on July 27.
“Start living a wonderful life in Forgotten Valley – June 27, 2023 🌤️ Weave a generation-spanning tale in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life on #PC, #Switch, #PS5, #Xbox X|S,” the announcement tweet said. This version of the game is a “reimagining of a beloved farming classic,” i.e. a remake of the 2003 GameCube title Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life.
In Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, players are looking to settle into the community of the small town of Forgotten Valley. Their father dreamed of doing this, but was never able to, so now it’s up to you to make his dream come true. Here, you will farm and revitalize the land, interact with the local townsfolk and maybe even fall in love. If you find yourself a partner, the two of you will build a family together in a story that spans across multiple generations.
For those wondering if there will be LGBTQ+ romance options in this game, the developers at Marvelous Inc. and XSEED Games have already confirmed that it will. Players will be able to choose the gender of their avatar character, which will include a nonbinary option. Additionally, there will be LGBTQ+ options for players to romance and build their family in Forgotten Valley with.
“With the option to play as a male, female, or non-binary protagonist, as well as all eligible marriage candidates available for romance regardless of that choice, you can truly be who you want to be,” is what the “Play Your Way” section of the game’s announcement said.
Fans can look forward to building a life in Forgotten Valley with Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life on June 27 on Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
