The Quarry gets ’50’s-style character outfits and discount for Halloween
On Monday, 2K and Supermassive Games announced that summer camp horror adventure The Quarry is getting a limited-time free downloadable content pack that gives characters new 1950’s-style outfits. The game will also be discounted during this limited window.
In The Quarry, players take on the roles of nine camp counselors who are stranded at the camp after their last night. Like with any Supergiant joint, there are creepy happenings afoot, and plenty of opportunities for the teens you’re controlling to die horribly. It’s up to you to decide if they’ll make it through the night, and what secrets and truths they’ll uncover along the way.
The new outfits in this DLC pack are inspired by looks from 1950’s horror; there’s also a new poster for the game that looks like a ’50’s horror film poster. This content is free to anyone who owns the game or buys it until 10 a.m. PT on November 1. After that, the DLC pack will cost £3.99/€4.99 to purchase individually.
With these outfits equipped, each of the nine counselors you play as in The Quarry get a different look to take the nightmarish night on with. Emma looks like she’s cosplaying as Daphne from Scooby-Doo, while Dylan looks like he’d be right at home listening to doo-wop in a diner.
In addition to the free cosmetic DLC pack, The Quarry is also on sale on select platforms for a limited time. Players can get the standard digital version of the game for 40% off on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One until October 31 and Steam until November 4. The deluxe digital version is also available at a 40% discount on PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 until November 2, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One until October 31, and Steam until November 4.
