On Friday Lunaris Games announced a new story downloadable content for their fantasy game When the Night Comes – Living Dead Girl: A When the Night Comes Tale. This new entry to the world of When the Night Comes will be available for PC on Steam and itch.io on October 28 for $2.99. Fans can pre-order this DLC now via itch.io.
During the main story of the original games, players take on the role of a legendary monster/creature Hunter who is travelling to the quirky little town of Lunaris to help out the local Enforcers to solve a string of mysterious supernatural murders. Along the way, the Hunter meets a cast of paranormal creatures – like a werewolf, a witch, a vampire and a demon – and finds themselves in the middle of a dark and dangerous secret conspiracy. They may even fall in love with one of these fantastical cast creatures if they are the type for romance.
In this DLC, players will once again assume the role of the Hunter and will find themselves back in the fantasy town of Lunaris. With the help of their friends, the Enforcers August and Piper, the Hunter will investigate a new haunted happening in this little town that’s anything but unfamiliar with scary happenings in the shadows. They may also run into some of their other supernatural acquaintances in town as they try to get to the bottom of this latest mystery.
Players will be able to choose their pronouns, revisit their romances from the main game (which include queer options), or pursue a playthrough with no romances. Living Dead Girl: A When the Night Comes Tale is also partially voice acted (character names and reactionary noises) by the original cast.
