League of Legends unveils newest champion, K’Sante

Riot Games has revealed their newest champion coming to League of Legends: K’Sante, also known as The Pride of Nazumah.

The teaser trailer unveiling the champion was released yesterday evening, but not much was revealed about K’Sante himself – including his looks. What we did get to see is that he has broad-shoulders, looks reasonably tall and has beautiful eyes that we could get lost in. So, new main anyone?

But what we find most interesting about this new character is that, according to his voice actor DeObia Oparei, K’Sante is League of Legends “first LGBTQ black Champion Warrior.”

We’re unsure if Oparei was supposed to reveal his character being LGBTQ+ just yet, or whether his identity will play a part of a much bigger reveal, but that hasn’t stopped fans from celebrating all the same.

League of Legends has featured queer characters like K’Sante before, such as Rell, Caitlyn, Vi, Graves, Twisted Fate, and many more. The game’s lore has continued to expand and be worked on over time, and it now even has its own TV show with Netflix’s Arcane.

As for K’Sante, it hasn’t been revealed when he will be officially released but considering the usual time-frame, we expect it to be sometime soon.
