Frog Detective 3 is coming on October 27
On Tuesday, Worm Club announced that the third entry in its Frog Detective series, Frog Detective 3: Corruption at Cowboy County, will release for PC via Steam on October 27. That same day, Frog Detective: The Complete Mystery – a collection of all three Frog Detective cases – will be available on Xbox Game Pass for PC.
Frog Detective 3: Corruption at Cowboy County is the conclusion to this mystery solving frog’s story. This time, our titular hero is summoned to a “dusty and lawless” town to solve what seems like a simple conundrum. But things quickly take a turn, and the second-best investigator in the game stumbles into a sinister scheme. This time around, the crime may be real after all.
The Frog Detective games are silly first-person mysteries that have now sold over half a million copies. Players follow the titular detective as he tries to solve a very localized mystery that’s bothering the inhabitants of wherever he’s been dispatched to help. They are developed by Worm Club, which is comprised of two Australian developers, creative director Grace Bruxner and design director Thomas Bowker. They also collaborate with composer Dan Golding (Untitled Goose Game) and artist/developer Olivia Haines (Surf Club). In the third installment, players will be able to ride around town on a new scooter. They will also team up with the frog detective’s rival, number one investigator Lobster Cop to collect evidence and conduct interviews and determine if crime is real once and for all.
Those who have already played the first two Frog Detective games will be able to hop straight into Frog Detective 3 when it releases on October 27. Those who are new to the franchise can check out the Frog Detective: The Complete Mystery collection on PC Game Pass to get caught up before diving into the epic conclusion.
