Dead by Daylight celebrates Halloween with Haunted by Daylight

Halloween is coming to Dead by Daylight with the Haunted by Daylight event starting on October 11. Players will be able to participate in the celebrations until November 3.

“The Fog turns into a twisted playground for Horror fan favourite Ghost Face®, and we’re happy to include him in our Halloween festivities,” said Dave Richard, Creative Director for Dead by Daylight, in a press release. “Ghost Face® is a particularly terrifying enemy – being able to stalk his prey – and dedicated to striking Survivors down before they know what hits them and to have him as part of the Rift is a treat!”

Starting on October 11, new store Collections will release for players to check out. Then, on the 12 the latest Archive Tome will be available. In Dead by Daylight, the Archives offer a way for players to take on new goals and get additional insights into the world of the game and its lore. By completing Master Quests in the various Archive Tomes, players will unlock Memories, Logs, Cinematics, Charms, and bonus Bloodpoints. Finally, the actual in-game Halloween event will kick off on the 13.

The new Tome coming with this event is Malevolence, and will feature Memories for the Ghost Face killer and survivor Mikaela Reid. They’ll be able to dive into the mind of the iconic killer from the Scream franchise, as a local cartoonist draws parodies of him in the newspaper.

During the Haunted by Daylight Halloween event, players will get to unlock scary season-themed cosmetics, participate in event challenges, and enjoy the oppressive vibes of the Fog. The game’s lobby and loading screens will be decorated with pumpkins and other on-theme decor, and players will be rewarded for logging in with special daily rewards. There will also be a new gameplay mode where players have to gather and steal Void Energy. There will be a free weekend in Dead by Daylight from October 27 through November 1 so more players can get in on the scary action.
