Ooblets 1.0 releases September 1

On Thursday, Glumberland announced that Ooblets Version 1.0 will release for Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic store on September 1. The full version has been highly anticipated since the developers first announced it would arrive sometime this year.

Ooblets has been available in early access on PC and Xbox consoles since July 2020. The Glumberland team has continuously added new fixes and events via updates over the past two years. Now, fans will have access to a more fully polished version of the game come September.

In this quirky creature-collection/farming-sim hybrid, players come to a town as newcomers looking to settle into the community. You’ll get a little farm plot and run-down shed for free that you have to care for and rebuild into a cozy new home to share with the titular critters. As you explore the various areas in this world, you’ll meet different kinds of ooblets, little plant-ish creatures that love to have dance battles with each other. You can convince them to become your friends and join your squad, increasing the crew of dancers at your disposal, and helpers on your farm.

Beyond growing crops and hanging out with your ooblets, you will also meet various townspeople and NPCs from across the land who you can build relationships with. Players are able to join social clubs with special quests, along with helping the mayor to improve the town and fellow citizens with their issues.

Those looking to grab the upcoming Nintendo Switch version of Ooblets can pre-order it at a discount now via the Nintendo eShop. This promotion drops the price 33%, from $29.99 to $19.99. There’s also a physical version available to pre-order via Fangamer. Fans that want to keep up with all the latest updates about the game can sign up for the Glumberland email newsletter, and/or join their Discord server.
