Donate $5 to support the TTRPGs for Trans Rights in Texas bundle
TTRPGs for Trans Rights in Texas has brought creators from all over the world together in order to create a bundle of over 400+ TTRPG games and add-ons. The reason? In response to Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas Attorney General Office’s transphobic declarations against trans people, particularly trans kids.
For context: On February 23rd, Governor Greg Abbott of Texas announced that adults present in the lives of trans youth, be it their teacher, doctor, therapist, etc, should report their parents or guardians – the people who look after them – to the authorities if they help their child get gender-affirming medical care. He went as far as to talk about children getting this gear as being subjected to child abuse – something which is so far from the truth it’s grossly offensive.
In response, various groups from around the world – including Gayming Magazine – have pledged to help support trans rights to fight back against this transphobic hate speech and declarations by providing essential help through trans adovacy groups, helpful links, as well as charity work.
It’s with these goals in mind that users IlanaNight13, burst0fhope, and SirenaBesos banded together to organize the TTRPGs for Trans Rights in Texas bundle. With their leadership, the group have brought together 300 creators from around the world to showcase off their games – all in support of trans rights.
“Trans children are extremely vulnerable, and the actions of the Texas government will put them and any supportive loved ones in danger. Providing funds to trans advocacy groups and support networks helps keep trans folx afloat in Texas.” The itch.io page for the bundle states. “Proceeds from this bundle will be split between two organizations: Transgender Education Network of Texas (TENT) and Organización Latina de Trans en Texas (OLTT). TENT supports gender diverse equality in Texas through educational efforts on an individual, community, corporate, and legislative level. They also provide emergency relief fund grants to trans people in need.”
Alongside all of these incredible games and supporters, the TTRPGs for Trans Rights in Texas bundle is also being offered in partnership with Hit Point Press.
