DC Comics to release Pride anthology book and variant covers
June is known as Pride month all around the world, and it will be here before you know it! What better way to celebrate it than with the many different LGBTQ heroes from the DC Comics universe?
According to Out Magazine, DC has announced that on May 31, they will release DC Pride 2022 #1, a special 104-page anthology comic that will feature the best queer characters from all over the extended DC Comics universe. The introduction for the anthology was also written by trans actress and Supergirl star Nicole Maines, and we love to see it!
But it doesn’t just stop there! DC Comics will be celebrating the LGBTQ community for the rest of the year, with rainbow and Pride-themed cover variants for some of their most popular titles, such as Superman, Harley Quinn, and Nightwing. The artwork will be done by some of today’s popular comic artists, including Kris Anka, Jen Bartel, Stephen Byrne, David Talaski, Kevin Wada – just to name a few!
