Steam Deck compatibility page reveals games you can play

The Steam Deck is nearly here for some lucky gamers, but it’s still very much a product that’s still in development – meaning that the compatibility of games on the device is still being worked on. There are some games that have been tested on the Steam Deck, some that haven’t, and some that are just plain incompatible.

Gamers who are looking to get their Steam Deck soon should check out the compatibility page for themselves. How it works is that the page asks you to login into your Steam account. Once done, the Steam Deck Compatibility page looks through your library to see which games have been tested, and are successful, and which games either aren’t compatible or are, but still need some configuration done. The page also gives you a number of games that haven’t been tested yet.

Overall, there are four different categories when it comes to Steam Deck compatibility, listed below.

  • Verified: The game works great on Steam Deck, right out of the box.
  • Playable: The game may require some manual tweaking by the user to play – such as needing to use a touchscreen at launcher, etc
  • Unsupported: The game is currently not functional on Steam Deck.
  • Unknown: The game hasn’t been checked for compatibility yet.

We had a look at our own Steam Library and found that a handful of games, such as Plague Tale: Innocence, Hades, Vampyr, Jackbox Party Pack 5, Unsighted, and Mudrunner have already been verified.

As for playable games, Tangledeep, Lake, Just Cause 4 Reloaded, Inscryption, Farming Simulator 19, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, Don’t Starve Together, and Planet Zoo.

Our unsupported games were Fall Guys, Persona 4 Golden, Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, and Insurgency: Sandstorm.

Currently, we have 76 games that are untested. It should be noted that the Steam Deck is still new and that more games will be tested by Valve as time goes by.

Steam Deck officially releases on February 25.
