The Witcher Season 2 release date set for this December
The Witcher Season 2 is on the way, with a release date set for December 17th.
The reveal was mentioned via the show’s official Twitter account, where it gave us a glimpse into what to expect from season 2 of The Witcher. That is, if you weren’t already sure with that pretty definitive ending that we saw in the finale of The Witcher Season 1.
‘Destined to protect’ works pretty well for Geralt of Rivia, a monster-slayer known as a Witcher who often gets pulled into disaster after disaster due to the power of destiny. And well, a little bit of magic too.
The person he is destined to protect obviously refers to his ward, Ciri. In the Netflix series, Ciri and Geralt have only just met up but Season 2 looks as though it’ll expand on their relationship with one another. Considering that the two end up as close as father and daughter, we’re intrigued on just how the next season will build their connection to being something that fans of the novels and games will recognize.
The reaction to a live-action The Witcher was at first pretty mild, but the first season of the Netflix series soon proved popular. So popular in fact that the player count of The Witcher 3 actually soared to new heights after the adaptation aired.
The Witcher Season 2 release date is set for December 17th, 2021. Will you answer the call and watch destiny unfold?
