Studio Élan reveals popular lesbian game Highway Blossoms is coming to console
If you’re looking for a game studio that absolutely puts the role of women – and not just cis women, either – at the forefront of their stories, then you should look no further than Studio Élan. That’s why we’re so stoked to hear that Highway Blossoms, one of the most popular games from Studio Élan, will be making its way to console.
After reaching out to the studio, we were told that there was no specific date for the game but that fans could expect the game to come to consoles sometime this year. That could potentially give us 6 more months of some serious speculation and waiting, but we’re okay with it. Highway Blossoms is one of the greatest lesbian games we’ve ever played, after all.
Originally released in 2016 on PC for the storefront Steam, the game has since received an overwhelmingly positive amount of reviews and scores with one review stating that it was ‘one of the best visual novels’ they’ve ever played. Now that’s a compliment!
Highway Blossoms coming to console won’t just mean it’ll be the base game. Studio Élan has confirmed that Highway Blossoms and its DLC, Highway Blossoms: Next Exit, will be ported to consoles under the bundled name Highway Blossoms Gold Rush Edition – meaning you’ll get all the content of the original game and DLC without needing to buy them separately. We do love to see it.
As well-loved as Highway Blossoms is, you don’t have to wait long at all to get your Studio Élan fix! What we know for sure is that Heart of the Woods will be coming to Nintendo Switch as well as other consoles on July 8th – not too long of a wait at all!
And if you like some supernatural with your lesbian romance, well… an even better reason to book July 8th off if you ask us.
