SonicFox flies trans flag in Ukraine

Last night, SonicFox competed in the first WePlay Ultimate Fighting League (WUFL) in Ukraine and screamed trans rights from the rooftops with both their introduction line and with the trans flag appearing behind them on screen.

On night one of the competition, which featured Mortal Kombat, SonicFox was introduced as “the defender of trans rights” as they made their entrance alongside NASR|TekkenMaster, PxP|A Foxy Grampa, Dragon, Hayatei, Konqueror249, Rewind, Grr, 2eZ, Biohazard, DizzyTT, VideoGamezYo, Kombat, TheMightyUnjust, ArnKratos and Mr5000.

Along with that powerful intro, and in their iconic fox fursuit as they took their position on stage, the screen behind them saw a trans flag fly whereas the other competitors had their country’s flag.

SonicFox went on to absolutely rule the night, completing a 7-0 clean sweep and advancing through to the playoffs, proving once again they are not only a fierce advocate of trans rights, but a fierce champion in the arena.

WUFL Season 1 features competitions in Mortal Kombat 11 (March 25–28), SOULCALIBUR VI (April 01–04), and Tekken 7 (April 08–11). The prize pool of $150,000 is divided equally between all three competitions. The event takes place at WePlay Esports Arena Kyiv, Ukraine.
