Mass Effect Legendary Edition Project Director Doesn’t Rule Out a Switch Version

As with everything in the games industry, there’s always going to be one or two predictable questions. So it’s really no surprise that the question of whether the Mass Effect Legendary Edition would come out on Switch, and if that was the case, would it be alongside the other editions of the remaster?

According to Mac Walters, both a writer of the Mass Effect games, as well as the project director of the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, a Switch version isn’t exactly out of the question. But don’t get your hopes up – it certainly won’t be a thing for the May 14th release date.

Talking to Eurogamer, Walters explained that the remaster had “got off the ground” on existing consoles and PC – meaning that the focus had to be solely on getting the trilogy to work perfectly on those platforms first. But that doesn’t mean a Switch version of the game won’t make its way to you in the future.

“Personally, I’d love it,” Walters commented. So would we, so would we…

So, no other Switch version of the game – at least, not yet – but at least we have a release date for the remaster that so many BioWare players have been looking forward to. Unfortunately, while there have been more than a few changes made to the remaster, the additional Jacob and Jack romance for queer players will not be included.
