Streamer of the Year nominees: Part I
The Twitch LGBTQ+ community has grown substantially in 2020, thanks in part to lockdown but also down to wonderful streamers creating safe spaces for LGBTQ+ folk online. That’s why we’ve included Streamer of the Year in our 2020 Gayming Magazine awards, but the choice of winner is down to YOU dear readers! Right here!
So to give you a little helping hand in your decision making, meet the first seven of our nominees!
FoxQueen
What can people expect from your stream?
People can expect a chill inclusive environment from my stream. I usually try to keep it fairly PG-13 but I am a gay woman that likes joking about a good tit every now and then. I typically play JRPG’s and story based games, usually of the anime variety. But any game where I can be a lady who smooches other ladies is a must play in my book and you’ll probably see it on my stream at some point.
What’s your GOTY 2020?
My game of the year has to be Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I’ve been playing it since I was young. And getting released during the pandemic helped me cope through everything. It also just felt so nice to be able to hang out with friends in a way that felt like going to their home…without actually doing so.

Biggus Bennus
What can people expect from your stream?
People can expect both a lot of interaction in chat and also in whatever I’m playing. I predominantly play Animal Crossing, incorporating game shows such as Deal Or No Deal, Blind Date and Snatch Game. Then every Friday I turn my community into big, oiled up wrestlers in WWE 2K and let them beat each other to a pulp. It’s a great way to welcome in the weekend!
What’s your GOTY 2020?
I’ve played over 1300 hours of Animal Crossing this year and it’s the game that’s done more for me on Twitch than I could ever have imagined. There are so many people I now consider good friends who found me through the AC directory and I couldn’t be more thankful. However, Final Fantasy VII Remake is such a masterpiece that I’m still flummoxed how they made it look so good on last-gen hardware, so I’d have to say that.

What can people expect from your stream?
Weirdness, wackiness, and a variety of content. Games, DnD, puzzle solving & more. No matter what I do it’s always a chill time. I basically just do my best to make peoples day a little bit better.
What’s your GOTY 2020?
My game of the year, and this will probably surprise no one, is Genshin Impact. No other game has drawn me in quite like it. It’s a fantastic sprawling world to explore and get lost in. And if there’s one thing I love, it’s an adventure.

What can people expect from your stream?
A variety of things: mainly RPGs, third person shooters, crafting & mini painting and sometimes Coffee With Cypher. It’s a comfy community that takes safety seriously.
What’s your GOTY 2020?
My game of the year is Animal Crossing New Horizons.

What can people expect from your stream?
I play a lot of space, sandbox and story games, but also like games that make me cry. Our community is focused on creating a safe and inclusive space, wholesome but sometimes immature humour, and a healthy dose of chaos.
What’s your GOTY 2020?
I’d have to say Phasmophobia, because I really love feeling like a detective and flirting with ghosts then running away when they flirt back.

What can people expect from your stream?
When someone comes to stream, they should expect the unexpected. I usually play many retro games from the past that I never got to experience when I was younger, with a bit of horror from time to time. The conversation is mainly what keeps people staying.
What’s your GOTY 2020?
I’ve just started playing Hades lately and it’s the first game in a while that may be hard but makes me keep playing. I can see why people considered it the game of the year so I will drop my vote in there too.

What can people expect from your stream?
My space is very loud and very gay! I’m a variety streamer and I play everything from simulation games, sandbox games, adventure, survival horror, and RPGs! We have a close-knit community who focus on supporting each other, talking about issues (personal and global), and razzing me for my gameplay! I’m also heavily focused on promoting a body positive space and inspiring people to be more comfortable and confident in their own skin.
What’s your GOTY 2020?
Tough call… I’d say it’s a toss-up between Tell Me Why and Hades. I got something different from each. Tell Me Why gave me the emotional aspect I love in a beautifully crafted story game. Hades gave me a wonderful action game with a detailed story.
