Dead by Daylight’s Binding of Kin set to release today
Nothing quite draws us into a fervor like the addition of some new Dead by Daylight content, and the newest expansion, Binding of Kin is no exception. Binding of Kin is set to release sometime today, adding a new killer, and new survivor to the already intricate web of killers and survivors.
The Binding of Kin release brings killers The Twins into action. A set of conjoined Twins at birth that was subject to ridicule and abuse back in their hometown of France, Charlotte and Victor were chased from town to town before eventually watching their mother die right before their eyes. They know what oppression and hatred is, and are keen to enact the same pain they felt onto others.
This is the very first time that players will be able to take control of two killers at once, with the ‘main’ killer being Charlotte that can do typical killer things such as break pallets, vault windows, etc. This leaves us Victor, who is able to break from Charlotte’s flesh, run around, and jump and damage survivors.
The Twins are joined by a new survivor, Élodie Rakoto. She’s an occult investigator whose parents were seemingly taken away by the Entity – hence her fascination with the occult. She wants to find her parents and get them back, and throws herself into the world of darkness to do so. She’s also directly linked to Felix, due to their time in the Pariahs – a group of teens whose parents, The Imperatti, vanished after an experiment gone wrong.
With the Binding of Kin release comes a new visual update, too. The Autohaven Wreckers and Mount Ormond maps have got a total rework, which you can see below.
With a new killer and survivor comes an overall new look, and don’t get us started on the cool cosmetics that are to come out of this chapter, too.
