Smithers&Wing is a queer, supernatural graphic novel you need to check out

Smithers&Wing is a graphic novel that follows married couple Smithers and Wing as they investigate supernatural crimes. Based in the city of Edinburgh, the two research and sleuth around the back streets, putting to rest the eldritch beings and ghosts – but for a fee, of course.

Unfortunately for this married couple, the streets of Edinburgh have been quiet – which is bad for business. With nowhere else to turn, Smithers and Wing turn to a cool and getting colder case: the whereabouts of the missing school girl, Catriona Hewitt.

They are joined in their search by Hewitt’s eccentric, but well-meaning teacher. But as they begin to work their case, the two realize that Catriona Hewitt has more to hide than they first thought.

The graphic novel’s thrilling story and characters is created by Heather Palmer, a writer from Glasgow and someone who was the first ever comics winner of the Scottish Book Trust’s New Writer Award (2019). She’s joined by illustrator and graphic designer, Kirsty Hunter who has self-published previous works like the mythological drama, The Violet Sea.

Smithers&Wing has already received all the money it needs to be made over on Kickstarter, but if you find yourself interested in what this graphic novel has to offer then don’t fret! You still have 14 days to express your interest and grab a copy for yourself.
