Goosebumps: Dead of Night announced for consoles and PC this summer
R.L. Stine’s iconic kid-friendly-scary series is getting another incarnation with a new video game releasing later this summer. Announced yesterday by Cosmic Forces, Sony Pictures and Scholastic, Goosebumps: Dead of Night is slated to spook consoles and PC in the next few months!
Goosebumps: Dead of Night is the seventh video game in the franchise, following on the heels of Goosebumps: Horror Town in 2018. The book turned television show turned movie turned video game (you follow that?) is somewhat based on the framework of one of the series’ mobile games and promises to take long-time fans back to classic locations like the infamously haunted Stine manor.
In the game, your mission is to stop Slappy from unleashing the Goosebumps monsters into our world. He’s trapped the powerful leader and author in a typewriter and is wreaking absolute havoc on the city. Explore creepy areas, solve puzzles and avoid bloodthirsty ghouls in order to defeat the dastardly puppet.
Promising a mix of problem solving, stealth and combat elements, Goosebumps: Dead of Night includes five chapters and five new enemies; which creates a brand new environment that has yet to be experienced in the world of Goosebumps!
Now, the only problem is the game’s graphics. Gaymers are ripping this video for looking like something off of the PlayStation 2. Peep the trailer below and let me know what you think!
