Borderlands Legendary Collection on Switch: The best iteration of Borderlands yet?

Borderlands Legendary Collection, which includes Borderlands Game of the Year, Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, has finally come to the Nintendo Switch. Dare I say it’s the best iteration of Borderlands yet?

Finally, I can shoot my way round the worlds of Borderlands on the move! Something I have dreamed about for years has come true, and I couldn’t be happier.

You all know my love for Borderlands runs deep due to its iconic animation style, it’s humour and the authenticity of its LGBT+ characters, which I have written about previously.

What makes me say that this might be the best iteration? Well you’re getting the best of everything. Improved graphics and audio thanks to the HD remastering, superb portability which is afforded by the Switch system, and very fast loading times when compared with other versions of the games on other consoles. Plus, you get all the DLCs and extra content that has been related over the years which totals up to 100+ hours of play time.

If that wasn’t enough, the jump to Switch has retained one of the series’ biggest selling points, split-screen local co-op play and online multiplayer. However, where the Switch wins again is with the local multiplayer meaning you get the best of both worlds, local co-op without the need for split screen!

Kick butt and explore the world of Borderlands on the go now with The Borderlands Legendary Collection! Now all I need is Borderlands 3. Come along 2K, make my life complete!

  • Split Screen Co-op. Wha…?! I thought that feature in games was extinct. This makes this collection a must-buy for me. Thanks Robin!
