The Dishonored Role-Playing Tabletop Game is now available to purchase

What’s better than playing Dishonored, the video game? Playing the Dishonored role-playing tabletop game, of course!

Despite being spelled wrong — bite me, Americans — the Dishonored video game series is one of my favourite to play. Not only does it combine stealth and violence in a heady mix, but it’s got some of the best characters I’ve seen and I care about them a lot. For example, I would fight you to death if you ever said a single, mean thing about Billie Lurk.

To have all that which makes Dishonored great transfer into a role-playing tabletop game isn’t going to be easy, but we’re sure Morphius Games is capable of doing just that. Morphius Games have always made excellent video game tabletop RPGs after all — just take a look at their Alien and Mutant: Year Zero games if you’re uncertain of the quality they provide. They really do just make fantastic games.

In this tabletop RPG, you’ll be able to explore the “turbulent Empire of the Isles, to tell stories of occult lore, intrigue, and drama.” And boy, does this game have plenty of that. From political assassination to exploring the intricacies of ‘high society’, the world of Dishonored can be both hellish and beautiful. It just depends on what you’re looking for. At 308 pages, we’re certain you’ll find something to enjoy.

The book includes the following:

  • An introduction to the Empire of the Isles, and an in-depth look at its history, its people and the struggles they face.
  • A step-by-step guide to play the role of the Protagonists: from grim assassins and rugged criminals, to intrepid explorers and stoic crown loyalists.
  • A host of antagonists and a myriad different storyhooks to inspire you, from the harsh, cold lands of Tyvia to sunny Karnaca.
  • Insight on the strange nature of the Void, as well as rules to harness its reality-bending powers.
  • “The Oil Trail”, a mini-campaign in four acts that serves as a perfect introduction to the City of Dunwall..

You’ll be able to get this Dishonored role-playing tabletop game — just digital for now, but physical later on — for the simple price of £15, or $18 (via GameSpot and VideoGamer).
