Magic Legends beta will launch in Spring 2020
When Cryptic Studios showed off their new Magic MMO, there was just one question that ran through our mind: will there be a Magic Legends beta anytime soon and can we please, please join it? Thank you very much.
It turns out that the Magic Legends beta isn’t as far as we thought. The beta will be launching sometime this spring, with the first playtest introducing two new Planeswalkers, powerful beings that are dedicated to saving the multiverse. These Planeswalkers are the destructive, earth-shattering Geomancer, and the psychic power-wielding Mind Mage.
The Geomancer is exactly what it sounds like. This Planeswalker can draw power from the earth and pummel enemies in close quarters. But don’t fret, you can defend yourself too. While certain attacks may incapacitate some other Planeswalkers, the Geomancer can absorb damage with their rock shield. They can also call on creatures like rock elementals, and goblins.
As for Mind Mages, they both have a cool intellect and a powerful mind. With their psychic powers, they can put the hurt on enemies from a distance and, if they really want to, force those enemies to turn against one another.
Even with the power these Planeswalkers bring, players will need to act strategically and do their very best to send the forces of evil packing! They can do this alone, with the help of some familiar characters and creatures, or with their friends.
