A new D&D game may be announced at The Game Awards
With Baldur’s Gate 3 coming out sometime next year, as well as Descent into Avernus recently being released, fans may be surprised that there might be a D&D game coming out soon.
D&D, also known as Dungeons and Dragons, has become one of the most ‘in’ things for tabletop for a long time now. Instead of buying video games, people are dedicating their time to forming groups and adventuring around the world as heroes.
Well, all may not be lost for those out there who want to try Dungeons and Dragons out as a video game. The official account for the renowned tabletop game recently tweeted to Turque Games, a Montreal-based developer of AAA games, that they would be seeing them at The Game Awards.
There have been other D&D video games in the past, such as Sword Coast Legends, an RPG game that took place the Sword Coast region of Faerun. Players were able to create their own character, as well as use the game to play with friends and DM a campaign if they so chose to. While it wasn’t received well, it was a game that at least tried to carry the heart of the tabletop series.
As of now, we’re unsure of what Wizards of the Coast or Turque Games will be showing, but consider us excited for The Game Awards and their reveal all the same.
The Game Awards will be airing tomorrow in the early morning at 1:30AM (UK time). If you can stay up, watch and see what cool games that will be in store, then awesome. But for those who can’t, we’ll be giving a full rundown of what games were revealed during the show.
