New Stardew Valley 1.4 update has arrived
UPDATED on 27/11/2019. It is the day we’ve all been waiting for, the day of a new Stardew Valley 1.4 update and there’s a lot more added than we first expected.
Alongside an additional 14 heart event that you get with spouses – which means more time with our lovely husbands and wives, ConcernedApe has added a lot of new items. This includes: shirts, hats, pants, boots, and even a new hairstyle. No longer will I need to look like Goku from Dragon Ball!
There has also been new content added to the mine, including a quarry mineshaft dungeon, new monsters and items, as well a cool Golden sycthe for you to lose your minds over. Don’t say that ConcernedApe doesn’t treat ya.

Is there anyone in the world who hasn’t ever been excited for a Stardew Valley update? Well, thanks to Eric Barone aka ConcernedApe, we’ve got yet another reason to start up his farming-simulator/RPG for the billionth time this month. That’s right, another Stardew Valley update is on the way.
Unfortunately, the new, free 1.4 update is currently only happening on PC this month, but will be making its way to consoles later on.
As for the update itself, we discovered, thanks to Eurogamer, that Barone mentioned what sort of changes that would be coming to 1.4. While not every specific change was detailed, Barone used the item ‘Wild Bait’ as an example. In the base game it was mostly useless, but will “now gives you a chance to catch double fish.”
It isn’t just your fishing career that will have some improvements either. Barone mentioned on Stardew Valley’s official website that there would also be a change to spouses. Such as the inclusion of a “unique 14-heart event after marriage,” among other things.
One of the other things that Barone mentioned would be coming to PC in an update is a screenshot button in the options menu. With this, you’ll be able to take a picture of your entire farm and show it off to your friends. Or if you’re like me, show everyone what a desolate wasteland it is. Either way, you’re taking a picture.
The update will be arriving on PC on the 26th of November. If you haven’t tried out the game yet, then this is the perfect time to get it. After all, Stardew Valley is an incredibly LGBT-friendly game, where all love interests are bisexual, single and more than willing to mingle.
