A Ni No Kuni 2 Boardgame is being launched at EGX
A Ni No Kuni 2 boardgame is being released into the wild at EGX this upcoming week. Created by Steamforged Games, the brains behind popular reimaginings of video games like Devil May Cry 5, as well as Horizon Zero Dawn, which has yet to be released.
Potentially interested? Not only will Steamforged Games be launching the brand the new Ni no Kuni 2 board game at EGX 2019, but players who take part in the UK’s first public demo will experience the colourful kingdom-building game two weeks ahead of its official release on November 8th, 2019. We consider that a win!
However, it isn’t just Ni No Kuni that will be taking the stage at EGX, 2019. The Steamforged team have also decided to bring board game versions of video game favourites to the tabletop zone. Favourites that you may just recognize. Does Resident Evil 2 and dungeon-crawling-oh-god-why-is-this-game-so-hard action RPG, Dark Souls.
But what do you have to do in the Ni No Kuni 2 board game? With 1-4 players, you must work together in order to create a stable kingdom. This means going on quests, defeating monsters and doing everything to make sure your kingdom lasts against the forces of evil.
An official description of the game reads:
“Welcome Higgledies and Heroes to Ni no Kuni II: The Board Game, a fun, cooperative kingdom-building game for 1-4 players. You must work together to go on quests, defeat monsters, and grow your kingdom before the forces of evil can overcome you.
Smart choices and a little luck will be needed to build the brightest kingdom possible to stand as a symbol of unity against evil. Can you build your kingdom well enough to overcome the darkness?”
