Overwatch League Pride Day Announced
Join the Overwatch League in celebrating the LGBTQ community on Pride Day on Friday, June 7, at Blizzard Arena Los Angeles and across the globe.
All attendees at Blizzard Arena will receive an Overwatch League “brandana” adorned with the Pride Day logo and the logos from every team. Additionally, there are Pride T-shirts for all 20 teams on shop.overwatchleague.com.
The day kicks off at 4 p.m. PDT with a full slate of Overwatch League matchups, featuring the Paris Eternal vs. Toronto Defiant, Boston Uprising vs. London Spitfire, Houston Outlaws vs. New York Excelsior, and Los Angeles Gladiators vs. Dallas Fuel.

The Overwatch League has invited local LGBTQ organizations to help celebrate Pride Day in person at Blizzard Arena, including Queerty Gamers, a Southern California gamer group with a focus on LGBTQ inclusion, connecting communities, and spreading good; and Gay Gaming Professionals (GGP), a group for LGBTQ professionals in the video game industry.
If you can’t make it to Blizzard Arena, there’s a handful of Overwatch League watch parties that you can attend:
Seattle, WA—hosted by Queer Geek!, an organization focused on networking and connecting LGBTQ folks interested in geek activities, such as gaming, science fiction/fantasy, comics, and anime.
Boston, MA—hosted by Boston Gaymers, a social group for LGBT+ gamers in the Boston area to help find and make new friends in a safe and welcoming environment. They have a thriving gaymer community, most active on their Discord server. They also hold various in-person and virtual events each month to bring together their members and have fun.
London, England—hosted by London Gaymers, the community for LGBT+ video and board gamers across London and the UK. They put on over 100 events each year, run the UK’s busiest gaymer Discord server, and fundraise for LGBT+ and gamer charities. Their mission is to make fun, safe spaces for gaymers to connect, and to promote diversity in the gaming community.
