Here are the best selling video games of December 2019

Titles and consoles continued to decline in the final month of 2019 despite massive purchases thanks to Christmas shopping. VentureBeat, for example, notes that game sales fell by 15% and console sales fell by 17% compared to last year; although, the lack of console purchases can be attributed to Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo Switch being available for years now.

With that said, here are the best selling video games of December 2019. And let me just say I’m still surprised Pokemon Sword/Shield never cracked the top two during its first few months in release.

4. NBA 2K20
5. Luigi’s Mansion 3
6. Pokemon Sword
7. Mario Kart 8
8. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

10. Minecraft
