7 nerdy queens we want to see on RuPaul’s Drag Race
With the reveal of the Season 18 cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race, we’ve compiled a list of queens with cosplay/nerdy/geeky inspired drag that we’d like to see on future seasons!
Drag is an integral part of the LGBTQ+ community and has evolved so much across several decades, especially with the mainstream success of RuPaul’s Drag Race and its regional spin-offs over the last 17 years. We have seen many different forms of drag on the show including pageant, club kid, campy, gothic, faux, androgyny, and more recently, nerdy and geeky cosplay-inspired looks.
Here at Gayming Magazine, we want to see MORE nerdy and geeky inspired drag on the show, so check out our list of queens we’d love to see cast in the future!
Drag comes in all forms and we love all queens, kings and things that make it such a rich and diverse artform, but for the purposes of this list, we’re working within the casting expectations of Drag Race which holds us to drag queens. We’ll do a separate list of nerdy kings and things very soon, so make sure you shout out your favorites in the comments.
Suddenly Audrey
There’s no need to fear, Suddenly Audrey is here! Based out of New York City, you can find her all across the boroughs saving the day, but especially at any of her self-produced shows called The Aud Ball.
She blends her electric energy with comedic affect on stage, and does it all with a smile. She has so many amazing looks that it’s hard to keep up with, and her numbers they’re paired with are nothing short of mesmerizing. If you get the chance to go to The Aud Ball, you’ll find yourself entertained by a fusion of comics, anime, and gaming through drag.

Dotte Com
She’s more than her moon prism power makeup, Shego by Dotte Com! Based out of Atlanta, you can find her punishing her foes in the name of the moon at shows around the city and surrounding areas, including the upcoming Anime Weekend Atlanta!
Her dynamic performance style contains multitudes of energy and fun moments, with references in each number you don’t want to miss! Personally, I’m a huge fan of her Sonic-inspired look, her Gengar-themed outfit, and of course her Mrs. Incredible look that is simply… incredible!

YouWorshipAngel
She’s not Unown, she’s a peachy princess, she’s The Angel! Based out of Los Angeles, you can catch this angelic gamer queen on Twitch playing all of your favorites in her PNG form! She’s a huge fan of Nintendo games, a true lover of Pokémon games, and has recently been doing a play through of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
Her personality on stream is unmatched, bringing competitive energy to games like Mario Kart, an entertaining and comedic approach to play throughs, and always interacts with her chat. She recently completed The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword on stream, one of my favorite Zelda games, and gave out a Nintendo Switch 2 a few weeks ago too. I’m personally looking forward to seeing her play the upcoming Pokémon Legends: ZA DLC that comes out soon!
Away from her PNG-tuber form, she has so many amazing looks that it’s hard to keep up, so check out her social media and get World of Wonder on the phone!

Ari Gato
You never know what you’ll see when you turn the page of this manga, but at least you’ll know Ari Gato will always remain! Based out of Chicago, Ari Gato is the anime and manga queen of the city, serving some of the best looks from your favorites through and through.
Her ensembles are simply stunning, whether its Luna and Diana from Sailor Moon, Yoruichi Shihouin from Bleach, the White Mokona from the CLAMP manga series, Yusuke Urameshi from YuYu Hakusho, or even your favorite Shinigami, Ryuk, from Death Note! I legit cannot get enough and hope to see more from her soon. She’s also an avid manga collector with a YouTube channel all about it, does that surprise you?!
You can find her performing around the city of Chicago several different shows, so be sure to give her a follow to keep up with what she’s doing next!
Skye Walker
In a galaxy closer than you might think, the force is absolutely with Skye Walker! Based in New York City, this wonderful woman goes more than rogue, she goes maverick with her drag. You can find her performing throughout NYC multiple times a week, packing a punch of vitality on every stage she touches.
Her numbers are creative and engaging, bringing you comedy with an impressive lip sync ability, as well as some impressive moves along the way too. And that’s just from what I’ve seen on her social media! Sounds like I need to get out and see her live.
Skye Walker’s looks are nothing short of impressive, just go and check them out for yourself!
Cake Pop!
Fighting for love and justice, Cake Pop! takes morphin’ time to the moon and back! Based out of the Washington, DC area, Cake Pop! serves iconic looks everywhere she steps foot into. I’m such a huge fan of her Megazord look, and how can you not love her outfit inspired by the anime Madoka Magica?!
You can find her performing all over the DC area, serving eclectic numbers and looks as a well-rounded queen. I might have to take a trip just to see her live for myself.
I also personally want her cast as Storm in the MCU, so maybe we can get them on a Zoom call with World of Wonder at the same time? Here’s to manifesting this into reality!
Koochie-Koochie Ku
Prepare for trouble, and make it triple, Koochie-Koochie Ku is serving you a mind flayed platter of cosplay drag realness! Based out of Atlanta, GA, Koochie-Koochie Ku gives so many amazing looks and immaculate stage presence with every show everywhere they perform.
I sincerely got immense joy going through their social media and getting gagged with every single look. From their fairy godmother inspired look from Shrek, to Aunt Gladys from Weapons, to the Drolta from Castlevania inspired look, I legit cannot get enough of this queen.
