Here’s this week’s quick-fire intro to SimplyAretha:

What’s the most memorable moment you’ve had on stream?
One of my most memorable moments was when we were raising money for an Indigenous Charity: Dreamspeakers Festival Society. Streamlabs Charity donated Logitech items for a giveaway and contributed funds to our cause. A representative from Streamlabs was hanging out in chat, while my friend and I were playing games. And when they donated to the cause, I was speechless. I thanked them for all they had done to help support my stream, and our fundraising efforts – it was then that my friend realized the Streamlabs account I was talking to the whole time was actually a real person, not a bot like she’d thought it was! We couldn’t stop laughing once she figured it out. I must talk to my bots a lot for her to think this was a normal thing for me.
What is your favorite game of all time and why?
Dead By Daylight but my first favourite game was Super Mario Bros.
If you could collaborate with any other streamer, who would it be and why?
I would love to invite Trixie Mattel to play Dead By Daylight with Indigenous Streamers on Twitch.

How would you describe your streaming style in three words?
Cozy, Chaotic, Community
What is your streaming schedule?
Monday, Wednesday, Saturday
Anything else you’d like to add?
As the founder of the Indigenous Alliance on Twitch, I have always advocated for Indigenous representation in all media spaces. And I have worked with a lot of like-minded individuals along the way, and through our efforts, we have created space and opportunities for Indigenous streamers on Twitch.
November is Native American Heritage Month in the US, and Indigenous Peoples Heritage Month is June in Canada. I utilize all my platforms to advocate for Indigenous people, including 2 Spirit and queer individuals within our communities, and I will continue to do this work until we are recognized in all spaces.
