Saints Row reveals post-launch content roadmap

On Tuesday, Deep Silver and Volition revealed the post-launch content roadmap for Saints Row, which details upcoming expansions to the city of Santo Ileso — both as part of the paid expansion pass and free ones for all players, quality of life updates, and fun cosmetic crossovers.

The first stop on the Saints Row content roadmap is a free Dead Island 2 pack, which will arrive in-game on April 11. This pack will give players clothing options for their boss based on Dead Island 2 characters, like anti-hero Jacob or smart athlete Amy. It also includes decorative statues for your HQ, a new weapon, and a new emote.

In May, the biggest free update to Saints Row yet — Sunshine Springs — will launch. This patch will add a whole new district to Santo Ileso, along with several quality of life updates like a selfie mode, overhauled combat, and more. On the same day, paid expansion pass holders will also gain access to a three-mission story about the Saints going on a revenge heist against an actor who double-crossed them called The Heist & The Hazardous.

The next expansion pass content, Doc Ketchum’s Murder Circus, is a solo game mode that will release in July. For now, the developers are keeping the details of what this mode entails close to their chests, so we will have to wait for further updates on that. August will wrap up this summer of content, with the final expansion pass update dropping, along with another new district and more quality of life changes that will be free to all players.

All of the expansion pack content will also be available to purchase separately, if you only want to grab a specific mode or story mission. Saints Row and its DLC are available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
