All announcements made at D&D Direct April 2022

The world of Dungeons and Dragons is looking to get even bigger, with Wizards of the Coast’s very first D&D Direct showcasing some of the incredible things coming to fans this year of 2022, and beyond.

Companies have been using their own Directs – showcases of varying lengths – to show off what cool things are coming for a while now, but considering this is Dungeons and Dragon’s very first, it’s clear Wizards of the Coast wanted to start the hype with a bang.

D&D Direct April 2022 – Everything announced during the showcase

Spelljammer – Adventures in Space: A return to an epic sci-fi campaign setting for Dungeons and Dragons. A popular setting that combines nautical exploration with space! Monster lairs are carved out of asteroids. Also, playable hippo people. Who doesn’t love that? This setting comes with three volume books: Astral Adventurer’s Guide, Boo’s Astral Menagerie, and Light of Xaryxis. Coming in August 2022.

Spelljammer: Icons of the Realm from WizKids – How else are you going to make your Spelljammer campaign pop without some Spelljammer minis? WizKids has your back!

Baldur’s Gate 3 Update – Baldur’s Gate 3 release date is confirmed to be sometime in 2023.

Journeys through the Radiant Citadel – A new anthology of Dungeons and Dragon’s adventures from POC writers. The anthology covers levels 1 to 14 and highlights incredible diversity in characters and adventures. It comes with new creatures, NPCs, locations, and stories that players can dig into. It releases on June 21st, 2022.

D&D Campaign Case Creatures – Remove and reuse creature tokens. You can pre-order now and will be available in July 2022.

D&D Terrain Case – Remove and reuse terrain. You can pre-order now and will be available in July 2022.

Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves Movie – It has been confirmed the film will release in theatres in March 2023.

Dungeons and Dragons Starter Set: Dragons of Stormwreck Isle – A more streamlined Starter Set that’s perfect for new adventures.

Monstrous Compendium: Volume 1 (Digital) – A new (and free) digital compendium – featuring new Spelljammer creatures – that list monsters and creatures that can be used in your campaign.

Neverwinter: Dragon Slayer – A new expansion from Gearbox Studios for the MMORPG, Neverwinter. It releases sometime in July.

Legends of the Multiverse – A D&D show featuring celebrities and content creators that will premiere on April 27th, 2022.

Dungeons and Dragons: Onslaught – A new combat board game that pits players against the monstrous creatures of the Dungeons and Dragons universe.

Dragonlance Adventure Book and Battle Game – A new adventure book and battle game focused around the Dragonlance setting. Full details are not yet known.
