Queer cyberpunk game Love Shore to release in Spring

Love Shore, an LGBTQ+ game from Perfect Garbage is set to release sometime in Spring this year. The game was previously set to release back in October 2022, however was delayed.

The game follows protagonists Sam and Farah, two S.Humans (aka cyborgs) who have been abandoned by their creators, Life.S. They were created in answer to a fertility crisis, with the organization crafting them and 98 other cyborgs through their parent’s DNA into artificial, non-aging bodies. They are designed to be fully functioning, with their own thoughts, feelings, and even a moral code. However one day, Life.S simply disappears.

Both Sam and Farah are just trying to make it through living in Love Shore, a futuristic, neon metropolis where old gods reside underground and humans do anything they can to crawl their way on top – even if it means getting their hands bloody.

Players will take on the role of both Sam and Farah, with four different storylines and a wide array of romance options, also with their own, unique storylines. Each protagonist will have four different love interests, though as always, you can choose to remain friends with your companions if you’d rather get to know them on a platonic level.

Love Shore features include:

  • 25+ possible endings
  • Hidden RPG elements like companion approval and a stat system
  • Multiple complex choices
  • Night/Day UI

Previously we’ve talked with Perfect Garbage about the game and what inspired the studio’s founders, Son M and Emmett Nahil, to form the studio and develop Love Shore. “Perfect Garbage was created because we want to make games, especially games that featured heroes and protagonists that looked like us.” Son M told us. “Emmett and I are both from ME/NA [Middle East/North African]  backgrounds and we want to make games that not only incorporate that, but also feature LGBT+ protagonists as well.

“Our goal was to make a game that we would want to play, that would be super queer and super brown, and that idea reflected what we weren’t seeing in the VN world at the time. Luckily, the audience has been very receptive to that idea, and we’ve gotten a ton of support from people both inside and outside of our own communities.” Nahil explained.

You can wishlist Love Shore now on Steam.
