Saints Row reboot delayed to late 2022
The Saints Row reboot has been delayed to late 2022, meaning that come February we won’t be blasting and making mayhem after all.
The announcement about the delay was announced via the official Saints Row Twitter.
“Saints Row will no longer release on the originally announced date of 25th February 2022, instead it will launch worldwide on 23rd August, 2022.” The tweet said.
“We’re sorry we’re delaying the game. We’re confident this is the right decision to make sure the game is f*cking awesome when it launches.”
The reason for the game being delayed has been put down to the game not being up to the standards that the Saints Row team over at Volition and Deep Silver have set for themselves if it was released on the original date. Considering the absolute mess that Cyberpunk 2077 was, we can hardly blame any game developer and publisher on being cautious about the game they release.
Volition’s new Saints Row reboot has been met with a mixed reception, with some fans feeling that the game has become ‘too woke’ or something because, let us check our notes here, there’s a woman with an undercut in it.
Alternatively, it’s because this gang of Saints doesn’t exactly look like the original Saints, like Shaundi and Johnny Gat, but just regular tweens instead. However, the reason for the Saints looking different has been explained by the developers already: these Saints are just starting out, and the familiar Fleur De Lys will make a return. Soon.
Even so, fans will need to wait until August 23rd 2022 before they can reunite with the explosive world Saints Row.
