The Waylanders romance options just got a whole lot more naked

Ever since we first talked about The Waylanders with Gato Studios we knew that there would be romance options. Not only would there be romance options, but The Waylanders would allow the player to be queer, as well as partake in poly relationships if that’s what they and their chosen partner were okay with and wanted to do.

Now we won’t say that this is the first time a poly romance has been introduced into games, but it is the first time that poly romance could include you being a werewolf, so that’s pretty damn cool and a win for monster fuckers everywhere if you ask us.

The Waylanders plans to release this November but until the most recent update, hasn’t actively had a romance system despite the relationship between you, your companions, and the important NPCs you find along the way, can build together. With this new update however, your romance options have just got a whole lot more naked.

To prove that their serious, The Waylanders even released a video to announce the romance system, which included a lot of people making out in what would probably be what some ancient relic called Fox News would call an orgy back in 2008. Yep, this video doesn’t really tell you much. It does give you hot people kissing one another though, so we guess there is a win in there for some of us.

The full list of romance options was also shared via the update patch notes over on the game’s official Steam page. The characters included are:

• Nazhedja

• Lugaid

• Tiana

• Amergin

• Berath

• Delba

• Heraklios

• Brigg

• Khaldun

• Mal

As described in the patch notes, how romance works is that it’s based on attraction and the character’s perception of you. So, if you want to get closer to the aforementioned characters above, you’re going to have to pull out the stops and show that one, you’re interested in them and two, make sure you have enough romance points with them to be perceived as attractive. Shouldn’t be too hard, right?

If you’ve already started playing The Waylanders and want to get involved with everything new added by the game’s romance system, it’s suggested that you start a new save.

The Waylanders will release on November 16 for Steam and GOG.
