Dragon Age book ‘Tevinter Nights’ reveals story list

The Dragon Age books have enraptured fans hearts since The Calling was first released in 2009. Now the newest Dragon Age book Tevinter Nights is on the horizon, near confirming that the next Dragon Age game would be set in the location of a country known for its darker side: Tevinter.

Not much was known about Tevinter Nights when it first appeared on Amazon, but since then there has been a new update detailing what short stories could be in the novel. The update was found by Twitter user Hrungr, who shared the information on Twitter.

It already attracted quite a bit of attention, before Patrick Weekes, a writer at BioWare and actually credited for his work on Tevinter Nights, also chimed in.

“Oh HELLO, story list!” He said, confirming that the book would be a selection of short stories, assumingly based in Tevinter.

Tevinter has been mentioned throughout all three games. Fenris and Dorian Pavus, two romance options and Hawke and the Inquisitor’s companion, have given the player more information about what to expect from Tevinter.

For Fenris, Tevinter was the country that enslaved him and his sister and branded with lyrium tattoos. For Dorian Pavus, Tevinter society entrapped him due to him loving men and not even his noble bloodline could protect him.

We’re unsure what these stories will be about, but from what we can see from the list, it may be safe to assume we’ll be seeing old friends. After all, ‘ An Old Crow’s Old Tricks?’ Zevran Arainai fans, rejoice.

Dragon Age 4 is still being worked on.

In other recent news, a development from the Bioware blog has given Dragon Age 4 fans new hope.

“We have several other big projects in the works.  I wish I could tell you more about them, but they’re mostly super-secret right now.  I can say however that one of our projects has a large and growing team in Edmonton working through pre-production, and based on the progress I’m seeing, I can confirm that indeed the Dread Wolf rises.”
