Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to receive the “biggest, longest, strongest” support from Ubisoft
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla made an impression on many of us when it first released late last year, and it seems that remains the case for Ubisoft too; as according to TheGamer, the studio might be looking to support the game for a long time to come.
This news comes via Ubisoft’s 2020-2021 financial year earnings report and chief financial officer, Frederick Duguet revealing that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla would receive benefit from the “biggest, longest, strongest post-launch strategy” in the series’ history, pointed out by VGC.
What this means isn’t entirely clear, as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey support lasted up until July of last year and also boasted two expansions that added up to almost 40 hours of new content – even if that content wasn’t all that great for queer gamers. If Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was to receive more support than that…Perhaps there will be more DLC added after Wrath of the Druids and Siege of Paris?
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla receiving more support wouldn’t be too much of a surprise. Not only did the game do extremely well, giving Ubisoft the best financial yield it’s ever had, but there have also been several leaks of a third, possible expansion with the name of Meteor; Meteor potentially being the name of the map or location which Eivor will visit in the same vein as England, Ireland, France, and Norway. Not much else is known about Meteor, and in reality, it could just be cut content, but it’s something that has fans hopeful of some new adventures all the same.
In other Assassin’s Creed Valhalla news, the first DLC for the game Wrath of the Druids is available for players tomorrow. The new DLC has everything from druids, red-headed Irish folks, and our personal favourite addition: werewolves. It will add up to 10-15 hours of new content.
