The Game Awards revealed a new trailer for Dragon Age 4

We’re pretty sure we’re getting deja vu, but something new on Dragon Age 4 has been revealed at The Game Awards 2020. Only this time, it isn’t bald elf Solas narrating, but our well-loved, friendly dwarf friend – Varric Tethras. This paragraph alone is enough to give you heart palpitations, right?

Last year BioWare revealed a teaser featuring the next game’s supposed big bad, Solas. This year we’ve got Varric narrating the events of previous games – showing emblems of both Corypheus, Meredith and what we assume to be Flemeth – three important characters throughout the Dragon Age series.

Varric isn’t just there to talk about the past, however. He mentions the need for another hero because, as he puts it, “there’s always someone bent on breaking the world.” But not just any hero, someone with no magic hand, someone who Solas, the Dread Wolf, won’t see coming.

Interestingly enough, Varric also mentioned that not only do people have the new protagonist’s back, but he has their back, too. Could this possibly mean that Varric is coming back for this new game? Considering that we have no date on when we’ll see the game, it looks like we’ll be waiting at least a couple of years to find out.

BioWare also revealed a new Mass Effect trailer last night, as well as a blog post explaining just what we should be expecting in the future from both games. Colour us excited!
