Gayming Magazine wins at Women In Games Global Awards
Gayming Magazine is delighted to announce it has won the award for ‘Global Games Gender Diversity Initiative of the Year’ at the inaugural Women in Games Global Games Awards!
The event took place this past weekend, streamed to a lively mixture of nominees, conference goers, and supporters of Women in Games. Gayming Magazine is hugely grateful for the nomination and the win.
In addition to Gayming Magazine, the award was also presented to Code Coven and WINGS Fund (both from UK), plus Women in Games Quarantine (from Spain).
Women in Games is a not-for-profit organisation that seeks a games industry, culture, and community free of gender discrimination, where full equality of opportunity, treatment and conditions empowers all women to achieve their full potential. It works in partnership with individual ambassadors and corporate partners to make equality a reality. Women in Games is 10 years old and is now officially represented in 32 different countries.
Robin Gray, Founder of Gayming Magazine, who was present to accept the award, said:
“I’m so proud and humbled that Gayming Magazine has won the Global Games Gender Diversity Initiative of the Year award. Since its inception, one of the aims of Gayming Magazine has been to celebrate and amplify female voices in the games industry and the player community. To be acknowledged by this illustrious global organisation is validation of our work.”
