Prepare for Ragnarök in Gods of the Twilight
Volutian Design’s Gods of the Twilight is an episodic, multi-season visual novel about two young adults who slowly begin to realize they’re more than human.
Set in the futuristic city-ship of New Reykjavík, Gods of the Twilight follows two protagonists: Farkas and Althea. This is a world that has long forgotten magic, but it’s starting to reappear as Ragnarök looms ever closer. As Farkas and Althea begin to awaken to the truth of what they really are, they have to contend with multiple factions, both supernatural and human, and determine whose agenda actually lines up with their own. They will meet monsters, governments, criminals, corporations, and even gods.
Along the way, you will have to decide how you want to handle Althea and Farkas’ relationships with other characters and with each other. Both characters will have multiple romance options of different genders, and there will also be polyamorous options as well. The cast is all fully voice acted, including some huge voice acting talent like Baldur’s Gate 3’s Amina Koroma, Genshin Impact’s Kelsey Jaffer, Atli Óskar Fjalarsson (The Midnight Sky), and Ellis Knight (SMITE).
As you advance through the story of Gods of the Twilight, you will have to make various choices. These decisions will carry over across the game’s episodes and seasons so you can see how they impact events going forward. Branching paths will lead you to multiple unique endings so there’s plenty to see and explore.
