Dimension 20: Dungeons and Drag Queens premieres June 28

On Thursday, Dimension 20 dropped a new trailer for its upcoming season, Dungeons and Drag Queens, and also announced that the show will premiere on Dropout on June 28 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. The season will run for four episodes and will be set in an entirely new world for the Dimension 20 pantheon.

“We first started trying to make Dungeons & Drag Queens happen in 2019, mere months after D20 premiered,” Dropout’s Sam Reich tweeted. “4 years later, it all came together spontaneously and magically. HUGE thanks to our queens, as well as Brian and Aly at PEG, for going on this adventure with us.”

There have been other shows in the past with the same title, and there is currently an ongoing live show in Seattle that shares the name as well. According to Dimension 20, they “made sure to seek their blessing before titling our season this.”

Dimension 20: Dungeons and Drag Queens will see Dimension 20 veteran Brennan Lee Mulligan running the game. Meanwhile the cast is comprised of RuPaul’s Drag Race alumni: Monét X Change as Troyánn, a mermaid assassin; Alaska Thunderf*ck 5000 as Princess, the eight foot tall orc barbarian; Bob the Drag Queen as Gertrude, an aging Tiefling sorceress; and Jujubee as Twyla, a Fey ranger. The questing queens will play the campaign with customized miniatures of their characters.

Fans will be able to participate in live watch parties by joining the Dimension 20 Discord, but will have to be subscribed to Dropout to watch the whole season when it airs. Currently, the creators have stated that there are no plans to release Dungeons and Drag Queens for free on YouTube, with the exception of the premiere, which will release there on July 5.
