Stardew Valley creator pauses development on Haunted Chocolatier
It’s been just under 2 years since Eric Barone, aka ConcernedApe, announced Haunted Chocolatier. That hasn’t stopped Stardew Valley from being updated, nor has the developer’s involvement with the farming sim paused development for the creator’s newest game.
However, that’s about to change.
In a tweet from ConcernedApe, the developer shared that there would be a 1.6 Stardew Valley update and that they would be pausing development on Haunted Chocolatier to work on it.
A lot of content was added in the previous 1.5 update for Stardew Valley, such as new locations, dialogue between NPCs, events, and a whole lot more. 1.6 won’t have quite as much, but we can gleam from ConcernedApe’s answers to fans that there will be new dialogue added. Unfortunately, not much else was confirmed.
Yet while ConcernedApe did mention they would be taking a break from their newest game; they also mentioned they would head back to working on it after the 1.6 update. It means that Haunted Chocolatier will take a little longer to release, but as we’ve learned from video games like Cyberpunk 2077, sooner does not always always mean better.
