The Mini Indie Showcase is back in March

On Wednesday, indie games media outlet Six One Indie announced that its grassroots indie game showcase The Mini Indie Showcase will return for its second consecutive year on March 22. Indie developers and publishers of any size are encouraged to submit their games, which they can do until January 24.

The Mini Indie Showcase first debuted ahead of PAX East 2022 as an all-digital, “Direct-style” showcase. It was a completely DIY effort put on by the team at Six One Indie to try to give a spotlight to more indie games. Eighteen indie games made an appearance during this digital event, ranging across genres, art styles, and even platforms. A Playdate game, Bloom, was even shown off. Other titles shown off included:

  • Lucid
  • Super Space Club
  • Once Upon a Jester
  • Alienate! A Trivia Game
  • The Garden Path
  • Harmony’s Odyssey
  • Arctic Awakening
  • Do Not Buy This Game
  • Songs of Glimmerwick
  • Anno Mutationem
  • Pogo Champ
  • Space Boat
  • Wrestling with Emotions: New Kids on the Block
  • End of Lines
  • Bloom
  • Backrooms Exploration
  • Remnants of the Rift
  • Ex Zodiac

Next year’s event will follow this format and will also serve as the “unofficial kickoff to PAX East 2023,” but this time, the scope will be even larger. Hosting the 2023 Mini Indie Showcase will be Six One Indie’s Kyle Stephenson, Kelsey Lynn Towndrow, and Mike Towndrow. According to Six One Indie, they have expanded their “scope, vision, and production to better amplify even more indie voices in 2023.”

Developers who are interested in participating in the Mini Indie Showcase 2023 can submit their games now through January 24, 2023. Indie games and publishers “of all shapes and sizes are welcomed to submit their game(s) for consideration,” and attendance at PAX East 2023 is not required in order to submit. Stay tuned to see what they show off at the Mini Indie Showcase 2023.
