Domina developer posts transphobic rant in patch notes

In a move that can only be described as deeply transphobic, the developer of Domina has unleashed a sleuth of anti-trans remarks in the game’s official patch notes.

Nicholas John Leonhard Groissen, the developer of Domina, has previously come under fire due to his anti-mask and misogynistic remarks. In a now deleted thread of tweets, which can be found via TheGamer’s article on the subject, Groissen used the patch notes of his game to give out advice on how to get laid. The advice? “TAKE OFF THE FCKN MASKS”. Nothing quite like insulting your fanbase to get those reviews in.

Despite the numerous negative reviews the game has received since, Groissen has taken it a step further. In the Domina patch notes for Wednesday 31st 2022, Groissen changed the title for Domina to Dominus, making a ‘joke’ about the original title being the game’s deadname. The update also asked players to “respect our pronouns during this difficult transition.” All of these changes were made in order to make a joke out of the trans community, all while sharing a bigoted and offensive message.

The full patch notes can be read below.

As you can see above, the patch notes go out of their way to be as offensive as possible towards the trans community. While there are some actual patch notes that indicate there have been changes made to the game, they are included with transmisogynistic accusations that trans people are “destroying the innocence of children” by “lying to them about basic biology.”

Weirdly enough, Groissen also calls out political activist and streamer Keffals, who has recently fled to a whole other country in order to avoid being swatted and doxxed by transphobic hate-website, KiwiFarms. They are now looking to take the website down by getting Cloudflare to remove forum from its services.

Whether Steam will remove the hateful patch note remains to be seen. As of writing this article, it is still available to be read on the game’s page on Steam.
