I Was A Teenage Exocolonist to release on Nintendo Switch

I Was A Teenage Exocolonist, a narrative-heavy RPG from Northway Games and publisher FINJI, is set to release on the Nintendo Switch in August 2022.

The RPG was already scheduled to release on PC, however gamers who are after a slice of a queer, sci-fi adventure will also get the opportunity to play on their favourite Nintendo platform. And that’s not all, the coming-of-age sim will also be available on PS4 and PS5.

I Was A Teenage Exocolonist puts players in the shoes of a kid protagonist, with the goal of raising them to adulthood while exploring the vibrant, mysterious planet of Vertumna. The colonists knowledge of this foreign planet is barely skin deep, meaning that the wildlife, flora and fauna, as well as the unknown, poses unique dangers for the player, as well as their friends and family.

Despite death lurking around every corner, there is a timeloop feature that’ll help you improve and adapt to your mistakes, pushing you further and expanding the narrative with each and every playthrough of I Was A Teenage Exocolonist.

Players will also experience unique friendships and bonds, with your friends growing up alongside you and finding their own way in life. If you play your (literal) cards right, you’ll perhaps even be able to get closer and find love. The possibilities are endless.

Other features from I Was A Teenage Excolonist includes:

  • 10 dateable love interests
  • 1000 different story events
  • 15 different skills
  • 25 unique jobs
  • 200 battle cards, loosely based on Poker
  • and 50 different endings

I Was A Teenage Exocolonist releases on August 25 2022 for PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and Linux.
