Meet Ty Galiz-Rowe, our new Deputy Editor!
Hey there, folks! I’m Ty Galiz-Rowe, and I’ll be taking on the role of Deputy Editor here at Gayming Magazine.
I’ve spent the past three years writing about video games and esports on a freelance basis. Most recently, I worked as an editor at Upcomer where I learned about the wild world of esports and accidentally fell in love. I’ll be bringing that love with me to Gayming to help show off the queer side of competitive gaming. I’ve also been the Editor-in-Chief of Uppercut since 2017, so it feels right to be stepping into this kind of role at this point – (don’t worry, Uppercut isn’t going anywhere).
Gayming was the first outlet to take a chance on me as a freelancer writing about video games back in 2019, so I’m pretty excited to be able to take on a bigger role at the site now. The mission of providing queer folks with a space in gaming is one that’s always been close to my heart, and I can’t wait to keep pushing our outlet to be even better. I’m excited to bring my own work to the site and to help out even more freelancers get their start and find a proper home for their work.
