Humble Games Showcase reveals an array of diverse games
During a special press Humble Games Showcase, publisher Humble Games revealed their exciting and diverse roadmap of 2022, and beyond – revealing some incredible partnerships with development studios that’ll have fans of all genres of indies excited for the upcoming year.
Humble Games has already received quite the successful line-up of indie games. Unpacking, a game from Witch Beam about unpacking your life as the years go by, has recently won an award at SXSW 2022, and is currently even nominated for an award at our very own Gayming Awards. You would think that with so much under their belt, Humble Games would be taking it easy; but it looks like the publisher isn’t the type to rest on their laurels. Instead, as conveyed by the Humble Games Showcase, they are eager to make 2022 the most memorable year yet.
9 new games were revealed during the showcase, with the sequel to Pocketwatch Games’ Monaco: What’s Yours is Mine, Monaco 2 headlining the event alongside Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical from Summerfall Studios. We’ve previously covered Stray Gods before when it was under the name of Chorus and was funded via Fig.
Several other games included in the showcase was Coral Island, a reimagined farm sim game, Moonscars; a 2D hack and slasher that’s been described as Souls-like, The Iron Oath; a tactical, turn-based fantasy RPG, Ghost Song; a 2D sci-fi metroidvania that’ll keep you on your toes, SIGNALIS; a survival horror game that reminds us of Dead Space, Infinite Guitars; a rhythm-based RPG adventure, and Chinatown Detective Agency,a cybernoir point and click adventure that we included in our list of games we can’t wait to play in 2022!
“Humble Games was founded with the purpose of supporting incredibly talented and diverse developers and putting their highly innovative and one-of-a-kind games in the hands of players worldwide,” explained Mark Nash, Vice President of Global Publishing at Humble Bundle. “Today, as we fast forward through the successes and learnings of our 31 amazing titles released to date, we’re excited to embark on this new chapter of our publishing division with expanded partnerships and deeper investments with our development partners to fully execute on their vision. We could not be more excited and proud to share a look at these truly inventive worlds, packed with story-rich adventures, brimming with unique gameplay that sets the bar for the next evolution of Humble Games titles players will see in the years ahead.”
